Building a modular monument sign

When you work alone or with one helper, designing a sign that you can put together on site as if it were a puzzle makes a lot of sense. That’s why I like to build signs that are easy to install. That was the approach I used on this 5-by-10-ft. monument sign for Dalles Dental Care.

It’s basically three pieces that could all be handled by me and a helper. I prefinished and assembled the sign in my shop then took it apart to take to the site. The aluminum frame bolted to the concrete slab, then I attached the base and sign faces. It went together very fast. Here it is in the shop.
