When they opened Lines & Letters Designs 38 years ago, Brian Schofield and Karin Levin decided they wanted to avoid one of the pitfalls that plagues many sign businesses: Failure to get a deposit before starting a job.

“Making signs is about art,” says Brian, “and it’s about being passionate about what you do, but you have to remember that it is also about business. You need to remember that if you want to survive in business.”
