Having a laser in your shop almost always means a broad range of work—from cell phone cases and key fobs to signage. Customers who come for other laser cut or engraved graphics often become signage customers as well. For Chris Early of EHO Laser, laser engraving has led to sign projects of every size.
Chris began doing laser engraving in 2010 part-time, learning the business. Realizing that many of his customers wanted largescale laser-cut signage, he soon began tackling that work, too. As he got more work out there, more customers started calling, and EHO Laser became a fulltime project.
“Eventually it even led me and Amy, my wife, to buy S&K Powder Coating,” he says, “a company that did some powder coating work for us. Now we have a 15,000-sq.-ft. custom fabrication shop where we can do everything from keychains to major sign projects.”
