If I lay my cards on the table, the last several weeks certainly have been quite a rollercoaster, as I’m sure it’s been for many shop owners. I’ve run the gamut of being fearful of the future and deflated to being cautiously optimistic and energized.
It’s gone from the highs of finally submitting the SBA loan application to the lows of realizing your bank is worthless, and you need to pursue other routes. At the time of this writing, I’m on my third lender.
Quite the whirlwind. But it’s times like these that test us and test our resolve to succeed. For many shops, I know it’s been heartbreaking to watch much of their business evaporate seemingly overnight. And with the revenues dropping, and worries about meeting ongoing expenses, it’s hard to think about what you could be doing to market the business—when your primary concern is simply staying afloat.
