Wouldn’t it be cool if an element in a wrap layout could be illuminated at night? It can. Dan Antonelli [Kickcharge Creative, Washington, New Jersey] recently put this new technology to work on a van wrap for an electrical contractor.

The product is called LumaWrap from LumaMedia. It uses LED illumination to do the job, and you can see it in action on more vehicle graphics here. And it’s not just for vehicles—the battery-powered, thin, flexible electroluminescent graphics can be used on signs as well.

Being able to illuminate a portion of a wrap or other digital print graphics opens up a lot of possibilities for creative sign designers. It’s a cool, new effect that is sure to attract attention. After all, no one expects the light bulb—or any part of a digital print—to actually light up at night!
