Don’t use a blade for your workshop bandsaw that’s designed for cutting wood only. A bi-metal blade isn’t that much more expensive and is much more versatile—especially in a sign shop.

With that blade you can cut aluminum, steel threaded rod and other metals while still cutting wood, acrylic and other sign materials. Our go-to blade for many years has been a ¼-in.-wide blade with 14 teeth per inch.
