What will a sign shop look like in 2025?

Not long ago we got a note from a reader, Janine Townsend, Townsend Legacy Signs, Bagdad, Kentucky. She reminded us of an article that ran almost 30 years ago in SignCraft
. It was a look at the “sign shop of the future” by the late Sam Markson from his shop, Professional Sign Service, in Portland, Oregon.
“I was browsing through an old print issue of SignCraft
, September/October 1996,” Janine said, “and came across this article. It’s actually pretty spot on and might be fun to reprint it for others to see.”
