Some sign makers do a little bit of everything while others settle into a niche market like 3D signage, truck lettering, boats or wraps. For Scottie Kania, his race car lettering roots led him to truck lettering over 40 years ago, and that’s kept him busy ever since.
“I still use a lot of race car style lettering and graphics on my truck work,” said Scottie, “and that’s why many of my customers come to me. Some of them are race car people, too. They own a race car and have me letter the trucks for their business.”
The industry changed a lot over those four decades, and Scottie’s work evolved with it. But his race car lettering was always a powerful influence in his vehicle lettering, and you’ll see that here in “Scottie Kania: Plenty of trucks and racecars.”
